Tosoh (Guangzhou) Chemical Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested enterprise established in late 2004 in Guangzhou Nansha Development Zone with joint capital from four Japanese companies: Tosoh Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and Marubeni Corporation. The total investment amounts to USD 75 million, with a registered capital of USD 25 million. The company's business scope includes "production, sales, research and development of polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC) and related products, as well as providing related after-sales services."This investment project was recognized as a national encouraged foreign-invested project by the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province in August 2005. The complete set of PVC production technology was introduced from Tosoh Corporation, achieving the world's highest level of process technology. The plant site comprises two production lines, each with an annual capacity of 110,000 tons of PVC, resulting in a total annual production capacity of 220,000 tons.
